Arcus wins supermarket sweep

Facilities management company, Arcus, has landed a contract worth £28 million annually, delivering cleaning services to supermarket chain, Sainsbury’s.

Arcus, who already provides bespoke FM services to the household name supermarket, has secured the four-year contract, providing soft services to more than 300 stores nationwide – making it the largest soft services supplier to Sainsbury’s across the UK.

For nearly a decade, Arcus has successfully worked in partnership with Sainsbury’s as its FM managing agent, progressively increasing self-delivery. This includes, mechanical and electrical work, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), photovoltaic maintenance, building fabric, lighting, drainage, refrigeration, fire safety, biomass, cleaning and landscaping, energy services, building management and remote monitoring.

Speaking about the new contract award, Chris Green, CEO of Arcus said: “We’ve worked with Sainsbury’s since 2009 and have established a strong relationship built on shared values. We’re delighted to have secured this contract and we’re excited to continue this journey with Sainsbury’s to deliver an excellent customer experience.”

The contract will see 1,000 new colleagues join Arcus, who provide a range of hard and soft services to a number of leading clients across the UK.
