Chartered Practitioners scheme launched at Cleaning Show

The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners (WCEC) has launched the new Chartered Practitioners’ Register at the Cleaning Show 2021.

After senior members of the WCEC led the way for others to follow in September, now the Chartership scheme is launched nationwide to the entire cleaning industry.

The first individuals to achieve chartered status were WCEC members, who tried and tested the application and qualification process earlier in 2021. Now, anyone in the UK cleaning industry who satisfies the application criteria may do the same.

At the Cleaning Show, two more Chartered Practitioners were announced: Yvonne Taylor from OCS and Robert Sutherland from RAMS FM.

Gary Fage, the new Master of the WCEC commented: “It’s a proud and hugely significant achievement for us at the WCEC, and for the cleaning industry overall. Finally, we will have a means of demonstrating our professional commitment, skill and expertise as cleaning professionals, and stand as acknowledged peers with other industries in the UK who can do the same.”
