Devon Norse’s cleaning division grows education portfolio

Devon Norse has secured the cleaning contracts at two education establishments.

Following a period with a competitor company, Dawlish Community College has returned to Devon Norse with a three-year deal worth £65,000 per annum. Just one month into the new contract the College has already complimented the company on the improved cleaning standards.

Westcliff Primary School has also recently returned to Devon Norse for its services. Steve Jones, cleaning operations manager at Devon Norse says that the company has employed a replacement caretaker, which together with efficiencies provided by the area team, has made an immediate difference to the cleaning and maintenance of the school.

This has led to Little Swans Pre School, which is based on the Westcliff School site, awarding Devon Norse with a deal to deliver its cleaning service from the start of September 2016.

The two agreements combined are said to be worth around £40,000 a year to Devon Norse.

And, in a further spin-off contract for the business, Devon Norse was also awarded a £12,000 a year cleaning deal at the Chestnut Centre in Paignton which commenced in June 2016. The site is linked to Mayfield School which began using Devon Norse for its cleaning services in 2015.

Recently an agreement has also been reached for Devon Norse to provide cleaning services to Millwater School, a school for pupils with special needs situated in the grounds of Bicton College. The area team are currently arranging the mobilisation of the new arrangement that starts on the 27 September 2016.
