Mrs Buckét adds Wales Millennium Centre to its portfolio

Mrs Buckét, the specialist commercial cleaning company, has secured a contract win at Wales’ famous landmark, 4.7-acre national arts venue, Wales Millennium Centre.

Mrs Buckét has been brought on board by the Centre’s specialist FM provider, CBRE, to deliver regular contract cleaning. This includes internal disinfection and decontamination, ensuring that audiences and performers returning to the theatre as the venue reopens are kept safe.

Using advanced cleaning chemicals with a specialist trained team, as well as the introduction of modern autonomous cleaning technology, the team is ready to help make the return to ‘normal’ as smooth and seamless as possible.

This partnership marks the company’s 14th new client win for the company since the start of the year as the rise in demand during the height of the pandemic continues. Mrs Buckét is now on course to reach a turnover of £4 million by the end of this year – compared to £2.9 million in 2020 – an increase of 45 per cent year-on-year.

Over the next 12 months, Mrs Buckét has planned to grow its team by at least 100 new members of staff within its cleaning team.

Rachael Flanagan, CEO of Mrs Buckét, commented: “Cleaning has been at the forefront of every business’s mind since the start of the pandemic nearly 18 months ago, and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. In fact, I am expecting the gravitas placed on high-quality, in-depth cleaning to really ramp up as the country begins to get back to normality.

“Working with Wales Millennium Centre and CBRE is a huge honour for Mrs Buckét. This iconic venue is the heart and soul of Wales and its reopening after being shut for 16 months, will be etched into Welsh history. Being chosen to partner with the venue’s team to maintain its brilliantly high standards as well as support them in this next step is something our team will forever be proud of.”

Jonathan Hughes, Area General Manager for CBRE, said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for everyone at Wales Millennium Centre. The building has been closed since March 2020 and the easing of restrictions means we can finally get back to doing what we love. However, at the forefront of our minds is the safety and wellbeing of our customers, and so ensuring that we had an expert team in place to help manage the day-to-day hygiene and sanitation of the venue was imperative.

“Mrs Buckét’s track record of delivering incredibly high standards, along with its specialist knowledge around the cleaning requirements needed to keep our staff and customers safe during the pandemic meant welcoming them to the team was an easy decision to make.”
