New GM role at AM Services Group specialist cleaning division

AM-Services-Group-PaulNelson[1]AM Services Group has appointed Paul Nelson to the new role of Specialist Cleaning General Manager, based in Stoke-on-Trent.

In 2016, the Lancashire-based facilities management business acquired specialist cleaning company Cleanex Contract Services, increasing its service range and geographic reach south. Over the last year, AM Services Group specialist cleaning services has experienced significant demand, from existing and new clients, and has grown its turnover by some 33 per cent since the purchase. The general manager position is a strategic addition to the senior management team to support the rapid expansion of this area of the business.

Adrian Cresswell, the company’s MD, said: “This will strengthen the current team and add value to their technical excellence by driving forward operational process, service quality, innovation and equipment, and training and talent development. We’re delighted that Paul, who has worked for our group for over two years has taken up the position. He has extensive senior level experience in operations and business development across a range of service industries and has made a big impact during his time as an operations manager with AM Services Group.”

AM Services Group’s specialist cleaning team provides a range of services, including confined space, heavy industrial and high level cleaning, to a range of clients in industry, manufacturing and aerospace, as well as across a number of tier one COMAH sites.

For the third year running, AM Services Group has also provided off season support to Stoke City Football club where they carry out high level jet washing the outside of the main stadium, including the cladding, and the external cleaning of the vinyl dome at the top of the club’s ten-metre-high training academy, and make sure the bronze statues of legendary players Stanley Matthews and Gordon Banks are kept in tip top condition for the fans.
