Tidy Green Clean achieves fresh set of accreditations

Tidy Green Clean, an environmentally friendly commercial cleaning business that operates on a franchise model with headquarters in Aberdeen, has achieved a fresh set of accreditations this summer, including Safe Contractor and BICSc, to support its growth ambitions and commitment to putting people – both customers and employees – at the centre of its business. Alongside this, it’s investing in online training for every single member of staff to support and improve the career opportunities and customer service Tidy Green Clean provides.

With seven franchises across Scotland, employing more than 400 people, Tidy Green Clean’s commitment to be a people-focused, environmentally orientated business, goes on apace. Over the summer, Tidy Green Clean has achieved Safe Contractor status, become a member of the British Institute of Cleaning Science, has implemented a Train At Your Leisure online training course for its entire business, and is becoming a Living Hours business, to enhance its Living Wage Foundation accreditation.

Tidy Green Clean has also become a Disability Confident Employer, to make sure that there are genuinely equal opportunities for anyone looking to work for Tidy Green Clean and that they can benefit from the opportunities employers gain by employing disabled people.

Co-Founder & Managing Director Andrew Alleway stated: “Tidy Green Clean continues to drive standards up in our industry, by putting our people and our customers first. We are committed to creating a culture where our staff are well-trained, properly paid, where they know well in advance the shifts they’re working; and where our customers are immediately confident in our abilities to perform well because they see the investment we’ve made to achieve recognised sector and global standards.

“The TAYL courses are an excellent example of providing HSEQ courses and other relevant training that is portable and means if people do leave us, they have qualifications they can proudly take with them. We’re helping people to have good jobs and see working for us as their career and the evidence for that is that our staff retention rate of 96.4%, which speaks for itself. Customers need cleaning providers that understand their challenges and take pride in their work so that every day in the office (or gym or surgery, or hospitality venue, hotel or building site) starts well because they’re working in a healthy and hygienic environment.”

Earlier this year, Tidy Green Clean renewed its Carbon Negative status for a second year alongside its Living Wage Accreditation, Silver Achilles UVDB status, as well as successfully passing its ISO accreditations three-year review.
