CHTMAG.COM MONTH IN CLEANING JULY / AUGUST 2016 27 CLEANING HYGIENE TODAY FOCUS ON FLATS AS CROMWELL POLYTHENE RETURNS TO RWM SHOW STAND 5Q60, NEC BIRMINGHAM, 13-15 SEPTEMBER A key focus of the Cromwell Polythene stand (5Q60) at this year’s RWM show will be the company’s multi-trip recycling bags, tailor-made for the convenient collection and storage of dry recyclables in flats and tenement buildings. The woven polypropylene bags are 100 per cent recyclable and provide the perfect storage facility until they are decanted into communal recycling bins outside, making them extremely popular with those councils who have identified purpose-built flats or tenements as a way of boosting their recycling tonnage. “Something like a quarter of the UK’s 27.5 million dwellings are flats and tenements, according to the last census,” says James Lee, Cromwell’s managing director. “The percentage is higher in Scotland and some other regions and rises dramatically in cities such as London, where more than half of the population lives in flats. “The multi-trip recycling bag is one of several solutions we have provided to those local council customers who see the potential arisings from flat dwellers, whether in council estates, mansion blocks or high-rise towers, as a way of improving their recycling performance.” www.cromwellpolythene.co.uk 01977 686868 CARLISLE SUPPORT SERVICES LAUNCH ROBO 2 CLEANING MACHINE Using its patented laser navigation system, the Robo 2 detects its surroundings and automatically cleans the entire floor.
