Mrs Bucket and Panasonic Manufacturing UK Ltd host sustainability and hydrogen investment round table

Commercial cleaning company Mrs Buckét partnered with long-standing client Panasonic Manufacturing UK Ltd (PMUK) to host a round table event focused on sustainability and investment in hydrogen technologies.

The event took place on Thursday, 29 January at Panasonic’s UK head office in Pentwyn, Cardiff, bringing together around 20 senior leaders and industry representatives to share insights, challenges and opportunities around the transition to more sustainable manufacturing and energy solutions.

Main topics on the day included hydrogen’s role in Panasonic’s future strategy, decarbonisation and sustainability ambitions, operational efficiencies and energy transition and challenges and opportunities in hydrogen adoption.

Hosted by ITV’s Cost of Living correspondent, Carole Green, the round table featured open discussion sessions alongside a guided walk-around of the Panasonic site, giving attendees the opportunity to see sustainability initiatives in action and discuss practical approaches in a real manufacturing environment.

Panellists included CEO and founder of Mrs Buckét Rachael Flanagan, Managing Director of Panasonic Manufacturing UK Robert Blowers, Managing Director of Morgan Marine Rhydian Jones, Managing Director of Renold PLC Mark Allemby, and Site Compliance Leader at GE Manufacturing Wales, David Hoare.

The round table reflects a shared commitment from Mrs Buckét, Panasonic Manufacturing UK and participating organisations to support innovation, collaboration and long-term investment in sustainable solutions across UK industry.

Mrs Buckét’s CEO and founder, Rachael Flanagan, said: “The event was incredibly successful. There were so many interesting and valuable discussions, with everyone openly sharing ideas and experiences around sustainability and hydrogen investment. Bringing people together in this way really shows how collaboration across industries can help drive meaningful change.”

Robert Blowers, Managing Director of Panasonic Manufacturing UK, added: “It was a great day and a real pleasure to host everyone at our Pentwyn site. Having the opportunity to get people together to discuss such important topics, and to do so in a practical, open environment, made the conversations even more impactful.”
