Mrs Buckét secures renewal of five-year cleaning contract with Olchfa School

Commercial cleaning company, Mrs Buckét, has successfully secured a five-year contract renewal with Olchfa School in Swansea, further strengthening its position within the education sector and taking its total number of school partnerships to over 30.

The renewed agreement follows a competitive tender process where Mrs Buckét demonstrated its proven expertise, high standards, and deep understanding of educational environments to retain the contract.

Olchfa School holds particular significance for the company, as it was the first comprehensive school in Wales that Mrs Buckét began working with back in 2014 and the largest contract the company held at that time.

The school is the largest secondary school in Swansea with approximately 1,900 students.

The contract win aligns with Mrs Buckét’s wider growth strategy, with education identified as a key focus area in 2026. Recent successes in this sector include new contracts with Bassaleg High School and its first contract win from the Rhondda Cynon Taff Education Framework.

These achievements have contributed to the creation of additional senior management roles within the business, supporting its expanding operations and long-term ambitions.

Julian Kennedy, Headteacher at Olchfa Comprehensive School, said: “This is fantastic news for the school. The importance we place on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff cannot be overstated. We greatly value the role cleaning plays in supporting education, and we are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Mrs Buckét.”

Rachael Flanagan, CEO and founder of Mrs Buckét, added: “We are absolutely delighted to continue our partnership with Olchfa School. Having worked together since 2014, and them being the first-ever school we worked with, this renewal means a great deal to us. It reflects the strength of our relationship and the trust built over many years.

“We’re proud to support the school and look forward to continuing to deliver the highest standards for both pupils and staff.”
