Peartree Cleaning, one of the UK’s leading providers of professional cleaning and facilities solutions, has retained its EcoVadis Gold rating for the second consecutive year, placing the company among the top five per cent of businesses assessed globally for sustainability performance.
EcoVadis is widely recognised as a global benchmark for assessing corporate sustainability and responsible supply chains, evaluating organisations across four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
The recognition follows the publication of Peartree Cleaning’s latest ESG Report, led by ESG Manager Georgie Hull, which highlights continued progress across the company’s sustainability strategy.
Key achievements outlined in the report include a six per cent reduction in total carbon emissions in line with the company’s Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitments, the continued transition towards a predominantly electric vehicle fleet, and an 88 per cent reduction in plastic consumption across the business.
Hull said: “Retaining our EcoVadis Gold rating for the second consecutive year is a great achievement and reflects the commitment across the business to continually improving our ESG performance.
“Our latest ESG report highlights the practical steps we are taking to reduce our environmental impact, from lowering carbon emissions and transitioning our fleet to reducing plastic use across our operations. EcoVadis provides an important independent benchmark and helps ensure we remain focused on continuous improvement.”
Maintaining EcoVadis Gold while continuing to deliver measurable environmental improvements reinforces Peartree Cleaning’s commitment to responsible business practices and supports clients who are increasingly prioritising sustainability within their supply chains.
