H2O Restoration launches Manchester franchise as UK expansion continues

H2O Restoration, the specialist external cleaning and restoration company, has launched its latest franchise in Manchester as part of its ongoing UK expansion. The new operation will be led by James Summerton, a serial operator with a track record of building and scaling service businesses across the country.

Summerton is the owner of JPM Logistics, which operates as the primary third-party logistics partner for Modern Milkman in the North and delivers over 2.5m orders per year. He previously held an expansion role at Modern Milkman during its early growth phase, launching seven sites nationally.

H2O Restoration Manchester launches having already secured contracts with commercial and leisure clients across the region.

H2O Restoration has established itself as a leading provider of specialist external cleaning and restoration services, using advanced steam technology and technical expertise to deliver effective, environmentally responsible results. The business serves commercial, residential and heritage properties, and continues to expand its national presence through a growing network of franchise operators with locations now including the Midlands, Manchester and Kent.

Operating across Greater Manchester, the new franchise offers steam cleaning, pressure washing, and external restoration services to commercial and residential clients. The business is particularly well-placed to serve the region’s significant stock of heritage and historic buildings, where high-pressure alternatives risk surface damage.

Lee Ward, Founder and Managing Director of H2O Restoration, said: “Manchester is one of the UK’s most dynamic regional economies, with significant investment taking place across the commercial, industrial and residential sectors. It also has a wealth of historic and heritage buildings where our specialist restoration expertise is particularly valuable. James brings exactly the operational mindset and local market knowledge this franchise needs to grow.”

James Summerton, Director of H2O Restoration Manchester, added: “I’ve spent my career getting involved early with service businesses doing something genuinely different. H2O Restoration caught my attention because the technology is ahead of anything else in this market, and their model is proven. Greater Manchester has one of the strongest commercial property pipelines in the UK outside London, and the city’s ambition is clear. We want the standard of exterior cleaning to match it and, with H2O Restoration’s expertise, are building a team to do exactly that.”
