ICE brings autonomous cleaning to Tesco Convenience stores

ICE, specialists in the supply and servicing of industrial cleaning equipment for commercial and industrial environments, has announced a new partnership with Tesco, launching a rollout of autonomous cleaning robots across 600 Tesco Express stores.
ICE states this marks the very first rollout of this scale in the UK convenience sector, and to celebrate this milestone, it has officially presented Tesco with the ICE Innovation and Partnership Award—celebrating a collaboration that combines expertise, creativity, and shared resources to support innovation and growth.
Supporting retail teams, the machines are designed as “co-bots” to work alongside Tesco colleagues. By taking over routine floor cleaning, they free up valuable time for the store teams to focus on serving customers.
Mark Bresnihan, CEO at ICE said: “As long-standing pioneers in cleaning technologies, ICE is delighted to partner with Tesco on this project. We are providing not just our industry-leading autonomous machines, but also the comprehensive training and service support required to make this a success. Together, we are showing how data-driven automation can work hand-in-hand with retail teams to improve cleaning standards.”
