Jangro network raises £105,000 for Trussell to help tackle hunger and hardship across the UK

Bolton-headquartered Jangro, the UK’s and Europe’s largest network of independent janitorial distributors, has announced that its members and supplier partners raised more than £105,000 during 2025 for its charity partner, Trussell, helping provide emergency food and practical advice to people facing hardship across the UK.

The fundraising total was achieved through the collective efforts of Jangro’s nationwide network. The significant donation could help Trussell’s community of food banks provide more than 7,500 emergency food parcels to people facing hunger.

Joanne Gilliard, CEO of Jangro, said: “The total donation is a fantastic achievement, and one that wouldn’t have been possible without the commitment of our members and partners. While we’re proud of this, the reality is that too many people continue to struggle to afford the essentials. We are grateful that our fundraising efforts can contribute to the incredible work carried out by Trussell.”

The announcement comes at a time when many households continue to struggle to keep their finances afloat as the cost of living remains high. According to Trussell, food banks in its community distributed more than 2.6 million emergency food parcels during 2025, equivalent to one parcel every 12 seconds. More than 912,000 parcels were provided for children, highlighting the ongoing impact of rising financial pressures on families.

Hannah Robson-Smith, Trussell’s Head of Programme Funding, said: “Every day, food banks across our community meet people who are worried about how they’re going to put food on the table or cover the cost of essentials. Fundraising efforts like this help ensure that support is available when people need it most.”

The fundraising builds on Jangro’s longstanding partnership with Trussell and reflects the company’s wider commitment to creating a positive and lasting impact in communities across the UK.
