Christeyns continues to actively support the Armed Forces Covenant

As part of its Silver status as an Armed Forces Covenant signatory, Bradford-based hygiene specialist Christeyns UK was delighted to support His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire’s Awards Ceremony last week in Huddersfield.

At the prestigious event awards of high merit were presented to reservists, cadets and cadet force adult volunteers. Justin Kerslake, Operations Director was in attendance to represent Christeyns. “With six veterans from the forces in our Laundry and Engineering Team, we are very aware of the skillset that ex-forces people bring, and are proud of their collective service to the country in the past,” commented Kerslake.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise that acknowledges and understands that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve with their lives.

As part of the firm’s commitment to the Covenant, Christeyns is undertaking a range of other activities including attending a recruitment fair in York and a Cadet Day also in York. Ben Davies, Area Sales Manager and part of the Christeyns Field Team, will be giving a talk at East Coast College in Great Yarmouth about his experience in the Royal Navy and how this helped his future career.

Christeyns takes pride in being a family-owned business and operates with a culture that encompasses all, placing care and support for the employee right at the forefront of its strategy and approach. This environment allows ex-military personnel to forge rewarding careers, developing transferable skills and benefitting from opportunities for progression.
