Minster Cleaning marks 30 years with greener travel and local partnership
Investment in hybrid fleet supports cleaning standards and lower-impact travel across 350 sites

A Northamptonshire cleaning company is marking 30 years of trading with a fleet investment designed to support customers, strengthen frontline supervision and reduce its environmental impact.
Minster Cleaning has partnered with leading local vehicle leasing firm, Silverstone Leasing, to add three new cars to their fleet of service vehicles.
The trio of new Nissan Qashqai e-POWER hybrid vehicles will support Minster’s area supervisors, who visit approximately 350 customer sites across Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. These visits keep standards visible, help resolve issues early and give more than 200 cleaning staff practical support.
Led by Director Nick Barber, the Minster investment connects environmental ambition with everyday operations. Targeting vehicles used for regular site visits creates an opportunity to reduce fuel consumption, emissions and running costs while sustaining the personal service that customers value.
Replacing the company’s vehicles with the new hybrid fleet offers approximately 30% lower official tailpipe CO₂ emissions and significantly improved fuel efficiency.
Based on the area supervisors’ combined annual mileage of approximately 60,000 miles, the change could save around 1,800 litres of petrol and more than four tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year, while providing the team with modern, comfortable and efficient vehicles to support their daily operations across Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire.
Silverstone Leasing were the top choice for Minster, continuing a relationship spanning more than five years in which the cleaning company has also serviced Silverstone’s Preston Deanery offices, demonstrating how established local businesses can support each other’s success.
Barber said: “The recent vehicle handover celebrated both our partnership with Silverstone Leasing and Minster’s commitment to its future. For customers, the priorities remain clear: dependable cleaning, accessible supervisors and prompt action when needed.
“Our customers value having someone who visits, understands their premises and takes responsibility for getting things right. Our supervisors make that happen, whether they’re checking standards, supporting a cleaner or dealing with an emerging issue.
“We want to maintain that personal service while reducing the environmental impact of the miles we travel. Investing in hybrid vehicles is a practical step towards that aim, putting more efficient technology into roles that depend on regular site visits.
“As we celebrate 30 years of continuous service, our focus is on what will keep delivering value for customers: well-supported staff, consistent standards and responsible investment in how we operate.
“Silverstone Leasing has supported us with vehicles for more than five years. We’ve also cleaned their offices since 2020, so each business contributes to keeping the other running smoothly. My thanks go to Tom, Mandy and the team for their continued support.”
Silverstone Leasing Managing Director Scott Norville said: “It is a pleasure to work with Minster Cleaning and our continued partnership reflects our joint ethos of understanding customer care and providing a first-class service. We are proud to be a small part of Minster’s impressive anniversary in supplying these vehicles and congratulate Nick and team on their marvellous milestone.”
