More than 7 in 10 manufacturing leaders expect specialist cleaning costs to rise
More than seven in 10 manufacturing leaders expect the cost of specialist cleaning to increase over the next 12 months, according to new research from leading commercial cleaning company, Mrs Buckét.
The research, commissioned by Mrs Buckét in August, surveyed more than 250 manufacturing business leaders about the challenges they face when it comes to workplace cleanliness and hygiene.
It found that 71 per cent expect their cleaning costs to rise during the next year, while one in four (25 per cent) believe costs will remain at their current level.
Rachael Flanagan, CEO and Founder of Mrs Buckét, said: “Manufacturers are understandably keeping a close eye on costs across the board, but also balancing these financial pressures with the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the working environment.
“Our research suggests the majority are expecting their cleaning spend to increase over the coming year, but it isn’t just about how much cleaning costs. We know that the right cleaning strategy can help businesses create a better working environment, protect productivity, support employee wellbeing and reduce the disruption that poor hygiene standards can cause.
“For manufacturers in particular, where sites are often large, busy and operationally complex, even relatively small improvements in how cleaning is managed can make a meaningful difference. Cleaning should be viewed as part of the wider employee experience and operational strategy.”
Mrs Buckét has worked with manufacturing clients for over 20 years, and over 30 per cent of the company’s revenue is this sector.
