Prime Facility Services wins major cleaning deal with Unity Multi Academy Trust

Prime Facility Services has been awarded a significant contract with Unity Multi Academy Trust. The Trust, which specialises in Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision, operates three schools in Warwickshire, specifically in Coleshill, Rugby, and Stratford-on-Avon. The contract, which commences in January 2024, encompasses the first two schools with the third set to be included later. The agreement is expected to generate approximately £470,000 over three years, with the potential for extension another two years.

This accomplishment comes after Prime Facility Services was entrusted with a deep clean of the Trust’s Rugby school just before an Ofsted inspection in December 2022. Following the successful operation, Prime Facility Services was invited to tender for regular cleaning services and, in October 2023, was selected as preferred contractor.

This milestone underscores Prime Facility Services’ commitment to providing exceptional cleaning services to educational institutions, paving the way for a cleaner, healthier learning environment for students. The company is eager to commence the contract and uphold its promise of delivering top-tier facility management services.

David Edwards, CEO of Prime Facility Services, expressed his delight over the partnership: “We have worked with Unity for just under a year now and we are delighted to add their schools to our growing portfolio of education customers. We are also excited to welcome the 15 staff at both schools who will be transferring to us under TUPE in the New Year.”

Paul Bond, Site & Facilities Manager at Unity Multi Academy Trust, also applauded the partnership, saying: “We decided as a Trust to outsource the cleaning of our schools about 12 months ago and having used Prime for our deep clean I found them responsive, easy to deal with and delivered a great service. Therefore, we invited them and other local companies to bid for our regular cleaning. Prime’s submission stood out with great focus on training, supervision, health & safety, value for money and most of all – care for the staff who do the work. I am looking forward to having Prime on board as our partner for cleaning services.”

This new partnership is a testament to Prime’s commitment to delivering top-notch services and its ability to meet the stringent standards set by educational institutions. The contract will see Prime Facility Services offering its state-of-the-art cleaning solutions across all sites within the Unity Multi Academy Trust.
