Professional hygiene specialist set for growth as it rebrands

Professional hygiene specialist Clover Chemicals ltd has changed its name to Christeyns Professional Hygiene to fully represent its status as part of the Christeyns UK group.

International chemicals manufacturer Christeyns, whose UK headquarters are located in Bradford, acquired Derbyshire based Clover Chemicals in 2018, to strengthen its position in the professional cleaning and hygiene sector.

Based in the High Peak area of Derbyshire, the now Christeyns Professional Hygiene, manufactures over 200 cleaning products. Since becoming part of the Christeyns UK group, the firm has made strategic investments to increase operational efficiency, modernising the production processes through investment in automation. Once completed this will result in a substantial boost in manufacturing capabilities.

Neil Jones, Managing Director, Christeyns UK said: “Following a period of transition, the time is now right to complete the rebrand and bring the business in line with the other companies within the Christeyns group.

“As part of the group, we are able to provide Christeyns Professional Hygiene with the best possible platform from which to further develop its business across the UK, setting the stage for a new phase of growth and development at the spearhead of this important hygiene sector.”

With a strong focus on research and development, Christeyns UK, part of parent company Christeyns based in Ghent, Belgium, uses innovative chemistry and industry insight to manufacture high performing hygiene solutions across several market sectors in the UK and Ireland.

Site Director at Christeyns Professional Hygiene, Andy Hilditch said: “We are really proud of all we have achieved since the company started out in 1990 and now our new name is the final step in this next stage of the firm’s journey which will see us achieve new targets, drawing on the expertise of our team here and in the wider Christeyns group.”

Since joining Christeyns UK, the firm has acquired an adjacent business unit, totalling 30,000 square feet, now used for warehousing and production. Operating in a sustainable manner is a key part of Christeyns’ business objectives and the facility at High Peak has significantly improved its energy efficiency by installing solar panels on the roof of its office and factory buildings.

Probably best known for its Laundry and Food & Beverage Divisions that manufacture highly efficient detergents, disinfectants and equipment, the rebrand brings focus for Christeyns UK on this third important division, that of Professional Hygiene.

Christeyns Professional Hygiene works across a broad spectrum of industries and sectors, including cleaning companies, hotels, leisure, care and healthcare sectors, as well as education and provides for these diverse sectors through an extensive network of distributors spanning the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
