Rentokil Pest Control launches Flexi Armour Vent to block rodent entry through air bricks and vents
Rentokil Pest Control has today launched Flexi Armour Vent, an innovative proofing solution designed to prevent rodents from entering buildings through air bricks, vents and HVAC outlets.
According to data analysed by Rentokil Pest Control, confirmed rodent activity increased 10 per cent year-on-year from 2024 to 2025, reinforcing the need for proactive solutions to stop rodents from entering buildings.
Air vents and air bricks are among the most common access points for rodents, effectively acting as open invitations, meaning proofing is recognised as the first line of defence. When it comes to pest control, prevention is key. Rentokil Pest Technicians often report that the main reason businesses develop pest problems is because their premises are not fully rodent-proofed.
Designed for both residential and commercial environments, Flexi Armour Vent is the latest addition to Rentokil’s Flexi Armour proofing range. It is designed to help property owners safeguard their premises from rodents entering through vents and air bricks, while offering businesses a reliable way to prevent rodent access without disrupting day-to-day operations.
The technology uses a discreet yet robust flexible knitted steel mesh combined with rubber, allowing it to adapt to uneven surfaces while remaining fully weatherproof. Its design forms a physical barrier that prevents rodent entry.
The product is quick to install, with a no-drilling design that minimises disruption and avoids damage to the property’s brickwork or structure. At the same time, the permeable mesh ensures essential airflow to the building is maintained, making it suitable for use across a wide range of property types.
As a rodenticide‑free solution, Flexi Armour Vent supports sustainability efforts and responds to growing regulatory pressure to reduce reliance on chemical pest control.
