Tork promotes sustainability and hygiene at Interclean

Sustainable products and services designed to maximise hygiene while minimising environmental impact will be among the highlights of the Tork stand at Interclean.

Taking centre stage will be Tork carbon neutral dispensers which have been nominated for an Amsterdam Innovation Award.

Essity is offsetting carbon emissions from dispensers by investing in certified climate projects with ClimatePartner. A total of 27 Tork washroom dispensers for soap, toilet tissue and hand towels have now been certified as carbon neutral including the Tork SmartOne® Toilet Paper Dispenser; the Tork PeakServe® ContinuousTM Hand Towel Dispenser; the Tork Coreless Midsize toilet paper system and Tork soap dispensers.

Making their debut at Interclean will be new Tork Xpress® Compressed Soft Multifold Hand Towels. These come in bundles that have been compressed by up to 50 per cent to prevent the need for frequent refills, minimising interruptions in small to medium-sized businesses.

Also new is the Tork Soap and Sanitiser Dispenser with Arm Lever for touchless dispensing, and the Tork 2 in 1 Scouring and Cleaning Cloth. This is an absorbent, abrasive and versatile wiper designed to save time and effort when cleaning.

The new Tork Natural Colour range of washroom tissue products will also feature on the Tork stand. Madefrom 100 per cent recycled fibres, the toilet paper and hand towels in the range have a natural, light brown hue to demonstrate the customer’s sustainability values to employees, guests and visitors.

Besides being highly sustainable, the products are also significantly softer to the touch than traditional recycled washroom tissue. All Tork Natural Colour washroom products are compatible with Tork PaperCircle® – the world’s first recycling service for paper towels.

Customers signing up for Tork PaperCircle® have their used washroom hand towels picked up from their business premises and taken to local recycling centres where they are turned into other tissue products. Around 25 million hand towels in 14 countries are recycled every month under the scheme, and more information on the service will be available on the Tork stand.

“With tight budgets and staff shortages, facility managers strive to ensure cleaning quality and hygiene while managing heightened sustainability expectations,” said Marketing Director Commercial for Essity’s professional hygiene business Anna Königson Koopmans, “We constantly innovate Tork products and services to increase operational efficiency, enabling facility managers to think ahead and achieve a great user experience.”

Other stand highlights will be the Office Complaints MinimiserTM an on-line tool designed to reduce the risk of washroom complaints; Tork Clean Hands Training for healthcare staff, and Tork Vision Cleaning. This is a data-driven cleaning solution that celebrates its 10th year at Interclean.

Essity offers products for a range of sectors including healthcare, industry, offices, hotels and restaurants. The company will be exhibiting on stand 10.101.
