From 19th-21st June, cleaning and FM professionals from across the globe will descend on ExCeL London, to be part of Facilities Show 2018. The largest event in the FM calendar provides opportunities to identify new suppliers and source the latest innovative solutions to meet project needs. The sector is rapidly evolving with new innovations and technological developments. The free-to-attend event, in association with the BIFM (British Institute of Facilities Management) and CBRE, showcases over 300 of the best products and service providers, all under one roof, over three days.
Inspirational speakers
New for 2018 is the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Theatre and exhibitor zone, in response to industry needs and essential learnings from key government reports. The focused theatre will deliver thought provoking and tactical seminar sessions on how FMs can benefit from enhanced productivity by putting employee wellbeing at the forefront of company culture.
Experts from across the cleaning and FM sector will share practical and strategic advice. The Facilities Management Theatre programme splits each day into three key themes – the workplace, technology and people. This includes presentations and panel discussions on issues including workplaces of the future, security, delivering top class FM on a budget, technology, diversity, skills, recruitment and recognition.
Three inspirational keynote speakers will headline the Keynote Theatre as follows:
- Tuesday 19th June – Comedian and mental health expert, Ruby Wax OBE; will be talking about how to create an open, honest and successful culture.
- Wednesday 20th June – Nicky Moffat CBE, formerly the British Army’s highest ranking female officer, provides experienced based insight on strong leadership.
- Thursday 21st June – English rugby legend and management pioneer, Sir Clive Woodward takes to the stage to discuss the key attributes needed to create a winning team.
The Smart Working Summit focuses on participation and collaboration. It considers the impact of the changing nature of work on the employee lifecycle journey, workplace technologies; understanding workplace productivity; and achieving genuine corporate sustainability.
Wealth of innovation
Over 300 suppliers will be showcasing the latest innovations and cost reducing solutions for site requirements. The event covers all FM sectors from cleaning, maintenance and gritting, to mechanical and electrical, recycling, energy management, catering and much more.
One-to-one meetings can also be pre-booked in advance with suppliers, at exhibitors’ stands or in one of the dedicated meeting lounges, allowing you to maximise your time at the show.
Smart procurement
At this year’s show, the BIFM will be hosting a free Smart Client Programme to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools to make smart procurement decisions.
The daily seminar sessions will cover:
- How to select a contractor or supplier
- How to use strategic sourcing to improve quality, deliver efficiencies and reduce risk
- What do to should something go wrong with the contract
These seminar sessions will be followed by pre-booked one-to-one appointments with selected suppliers.

The expanded event, held in association with BIFM, provides multiple networking opportunities, including the Facilities Show Sports Bar. Back by popular demand, the new and improved FM Games Arcade provides the ideal space for friendly competition and networking with peers.
