Skin health and surface hygiene expert, GOJO Industries-Europe, has announced that several of its hand sanitiser and soap formulas recently achieved certification through the Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program – the world’s most advanced standard for safe, circular, and responsible materials and products.
Since April, over 350 global products connected to PURELL hand sanitiser and PURELL Brand HEALTHY SOAP with CLEAN RELEASE Technology achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold with a Platinum level Material Health rating, the highest material health rating possible.
As well as Platinum level Material Health ratings, the formulations that go into PURELL products are compatible with human and ecological health and ready to cycle in a circular economy.
The Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Program looks at more than just a product’s ingredients. Products are assessed across five sustainability categories: material health, material re-utilisation, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship, and social fairness. This comprehensive analysis goes beyond being a recognised mark of product quality but is a process that leads companies to make better products, better companies, and better communities.
Chris Wakefield, Managing Director UK & Ireland, GOJO Industries-Europe Ltd commented: “Protective and pleasant to use, PURELL products have been trusted for decades to care for skin and eliminate germs safely and effectively. They are safe, effective, and good for you, and this certification shows that they are good for the environment too.”
He continued: “Sustainability is central to our GOJO Purpose of “Saving Lives and Making Life Better Through Well-Being Solutions. The Cradle to Cradle certification will help us exceed one of our sustainability goals set in 2015: to double the percentage of sales from products with third-party certification by 2020.”
