GreenTeck Global has resolved to increase its European manufacturing base by 200 per cent by the end of 2023 as part of a suite of sustainability resolutions.
The move will see the hygiene technology innovator boost the number of its eco-friendly products made in Europe from 25 to 75 per cent by the end of the year, of which 60 per cent will be manufactured in the UK.
In bringing the manufacturing of its alternative green technologies closer to its primary UK market, the company hopes to help customers improve its carbon footprint whilst enhancing both production and delivery times. GreenTeck Global expects the shift will help reduce lead times between order and installation by 75 per cent for many products, down from 16 to just four weeks.
David Thurston, founder and CEO of GreenTeck Global, said: “We’ve long maintained that small changes can make a big difference on many levels, while making good business sense. Championing change is in our DNA, and we regularly review our practices to see where we can find new ways to improve our own sustainability credentials.
“It’s important our clients can rely on us to lead by example, and we’re committed to connecting businesses across every sector to safer and more environmentally-friendly waste and hygiene practices. We therefore hope that this manufacturing commitment will help pass the sustainability benefits to our customers on while making our COSHH-free systems even more accessible to companies.”
GreenTeck Global’s client range from local government to national hygiene services provider phs Group, from janitorial and catering equipment suppliers such as Alliance Scotland, to transport providers such as GWR as well as schools, hotels chains, gyms, bars and restaurants.
