ISS has won a contract with a global food manufacturer and processor of cereals and grains to provide cleaning services at its food manufacturing plant in the north of the UK.
The Client, one of the world’s largest agricultural food processing and commodities trading organisations, produces custom-made flour. The plant is a site of historic interest as well as being a high tech, working mill, producing over 25 tonnes of flour per hour.
Nick Britten, Sector Director, Cleaning Services at ISS stated: “Cleaning at this particular client site, as with all food manufacturing sites and centres, requires everyone to meet the set high levels of standards required by BRC, FSA and other governing bodies. A high level of training is also required also to meet the necessary audits and international safety regulations.
“In ISS, we pride ourselves in being a partner able to meet the exacting standards required, whilst managing the complexity of cleaning an historic site which incorporates a very lean, highly automated operation.”
Izzy Dodds Operations Manager, ISS commented: “The plant is a very high-tech food manufacturer in an established and historic site.
“We use our experience of working with hundreds of organisations in the food sector to add value such as performance tracking and reporting. Our cleaning excellence programme, plus innovations in methodology and equipment enable ISS to implement a high level of service at the unusual location.”
