Jangro, the UK & Ireland’s largest network of independent janitorial and cleaning distributors, has announced an environmental collaboration with cleaning product manufacturer, SYR. This partnership will strengthen Jangro’s Circular programme and help its customers go the extra mile for sustainability.
Jangro Circular is a new programme designed to reduce waste by keeping products and materials in use for as long as possible. As a manufacturer of plastic products, SYR also strives for a circular economy. Together, this collaboration enables customers to make more sustainable decisions when it comes to products that have come to the end of their lives.
As part of this joint initiative, Jangro and SYR have created a hassle-free system for the disposal of old plastic cleaning tools and buckets that are worn or need to be replaced. Customers can simply return them to their nearest Jangro depot or arrange for them to be picked up by a Jangro distributor. They are then collected by SYR to be recycled – keeping this ‘would-be’ waste in circulation, transforming it into new products, and reducing the amount of virgin plastic needed.
Jo Gilliard, CEO of Jangro, commented: “With a shared goal and synergistic vision for a sustainable world of cleaning, this collaboration between Jangro and SYR is a perfect match! Jangro Circular aims to ‘close the loop’ by preventing unnecessary waste from being generated and, instead, reusing or recycling products or materials to create something new. Our partnership with SYR not only helps to achieve this, but also supports our customers to reduce their carbon footprint and reach their own green goals.
“This is just one of Jangro’s many initiatives to realise a brighter and more sustainable future. Via our certification with Planet Mark, we continue to measure and cut our own emissions, whilst supporting our customers to do the same – through innovations such as our ntrl range of cleaning products, sustainable packaging, and our RRR (Return, Reuse, Recycle) service, which enables customers to return empty boxes if they no longer have a need for them.”
