Teachers added to list of frontline workers offered free cleaning visits

Ahead of UK schools reopening on Monday, teachers are – alongside NHS staff and other frontline workers – being offered free cleaning (including anti-viral cleaning) visits by Fantastic Services, the one-stop shop for professional home cleaning and maintenance.

The offer lets teachers, NHS staff, police officers, firefighters and those in the military, claim regular two-hour professional cleaning visits, usually charged at £32.

The offer follows recent clarification from the government on lockdown rules, which permit domestic cleaners to continue working in people’s homes while following social distancing and safety guidelines.

As well as making life easier for workers, the free service can help to reduce the risk to families of teachers, NHS staff and other frontline workers exposed to the virus, by ensuring that homes receive proper anti-viral cleaning on a regular basis.

Fantastic Services offers households a wide range of options, from viral deep cleans and pest control experts, to tradesmen and removal services. The company played a key role in assisting the government to develop guidelines for cleaners during lockdown.

Rune Sovndahl, co-founder of Fantastic Services, said: “Along with NHS staff and frontline workers, thousands of teachers will be going back to work in difficult circumstances, and they deserve our gratitude and our support.

“Hopefully this small gesture will make life a little easier for the people working in these vital jobs by giving them one less thing to worry about when they’ve finished their shifts.”

To book a free cleaning service, you just need to follow the instructions on the Fantastic Services website by clicking here.
