Churchill Contract Services has secured a three-year cleaning contract with St George’s, University of London.
The contract was awarded via the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) framework, a not-for-profit organisation that aims to maximise value through the collaborative procurement of goods and services for its members – consisting of higher and further education institutions in London and the South East.
All members of staff will be transferred from the incumbent contractor to Churchill and the contract will include cleaning, pest control, landscaping, waste, window cleaning, curtain cleaning and washroom services to the academic and residential buildings.
Established in 1733, the university has an illustrious history of training doctors, and to this day it is the only UK university dedicated solely to medical and health sciences education, training and research.
Joe Saisi, Operations Director, Churchill, said: “It’s fantastic to establish our prominence in the London education sector even further, thanks to the connections we are making via the LUPC framework. The Churchill team is looking forward to working with St George’s to ensure that all facilities are kept to the highest standards at this prestigious university.”
Derek Bannister, Director of Estates and Facilities at St George’s, University of London, said: “We provide a first-class learning environment for students specialising in healthcare science and medicine so cleanliness is particularly important to us. We were impressed with Churchill’s experience in the higher-education sector and look forward to working with them.”
The contract will commence on 1 March 2018.
