Environmental Cleaners to shine at the Lord Mayor’s parade

For the first time in 20 years, the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners (WCEC) will be honouring the cleaning industry with its own float in the Lord Mayor’s Show on 9 November 2024.

Not only will the Environmental Cleaners be taking up their rightful place with other livery companies in the parade, but they intend to showcase the significant role of the UK cleaning industry, its work and its people. The float will reflect ‘cleaning through the ages’,  showing the innovation, dedication and the continued evolution of cleaning.

Lorraine Larman, Master of the WCEC said: “Taking part in the Lord Mayor’s Show this year is such a special privilege for the Environmental Cleaners. It’s a stunning opportunity to show young people how important our industry is to society and the economy! We’ve been so fortunate to have supporters that have enabled our participation. This couldn’t come at a better time as we need to highlight and celebrate our valuable contribution, especially in recent years. It’s a proud moment for us to be able to do that and show the real potential of a career in cleaning today and tomorrow.”

For many, the Lord Mayor’s Show has been a spectacle watched from afar. However, this year, the Environmental Cleaners offer sponsorship and raffle opportunities so you or your company can be part of the action, right at the heart of the parade! The Company invites the wider cleaning industry to participate, and by so doing, draw attention to its meaningful and significant contributions.

The WCEC float has been supported by the following:

  • Platinum Sponsor – NIC Services Group Ltd.
  • Gold Sponsors – Nationwide Hygiene Group, Pearroc, The Hill Club.
  • Silver Sponsors –  BICSc, Ceris Burns International, Chamberlaine Cleaning Services, Jm2group, LWC (Lynn Webster Consultants Ltd), Metsä, Taqt.
  • Bronze Sponsors –  bio productions, Metzger, Progress Cleaning Services.

There is still time to get involved. For more information about sponsorship or entering the raffle, please contact Gary Henstock (gary@pearroc.co.uk).
