Northwood Hygiene Products Ltd – a leading manufacturer and supplier of away-from-home (AfH) professional paper hygiene and wiping products – has announced the retirement of its Sales and Marketing Director and the appointment of a new Commercial Director to drive future business growth.
Industry stalwart Brian Tarry has retired after a successful 40-year career in the cleaning sector. Tarry, who is well-known and respected by many people in the business, began his career in engineering and entered the cleaning industry in 1984. He went on to join Kruger in 1995, becoming Sales and Marketing Director at Northwood Hygiene Products Ltd when the business was acquired.
Tarry has been instrumental in helping Northwood achieve rapid growth as a business and was involved in the launch of several successful Northwood brands, including North Shore, Raphael and Whisper.
Paul Fecher, Chairman of the Northwood Group said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to pay tribute to Brian for his many years of impeccable service – and particularly his contribution in developing our flagship value-added brands. Everyone at Northwood would like to congratulate him on a phenomenal career and we wish him all the very best in his retirement.”
Tarry added: “My time at Northwood has been the highlight of my career – this group of people is among the best and the brightest in the industry. They have strategically invested in people, plant and machinery, allowing me to be able to offer an unmatched portfolio of products – I am honoured to have worked with them all. It is, of course, bittersweet as this company has been a huge part of my working life, but I will look back with genuine pride at what we’ve accomplished together.”
Craig Williams joins Northwood as Commercial Director. Williams is a very experienced, well known and respected person within the Away-from-Home (AfH) professional paper hygiene and wiping products industry. He returns to Northwood Hygiene Products after some 10 years and will be leading the Commercial activities of the much-enlarged AfH business with its full manufacturing capabilities as he re-engages with clients and colleagues old and new.
Fecher commented: “I’m thrilled to announce the return of Craig Williams to the business. Craig brings 28 years’ experience in selling away-from-home paper products, with an impressive track record both in maximising revenue and expanding market share. He will be a tremendous asset to the business, helping us to achieve our continuing ambitious growth plans.”
