On 16 May 2024 Interclean’s Healthcare Cleaning Forum (HCF) will once again open its doors to healthcare cleaning enthusiasts from far and wide. With a packed programme aimed at cleaning professionals, healthcare experts, hospital managers, infection prevention specialists, facility managers and industry leaders – this much anticipated event is a highlight on the professional cleaning industry calendar.
Running alongside Interclean Amsterdam, a leading trade fair for cleaning and hygiene professionals, the forum explores the latest trends and challenges affecting environmental hygiene and disinfection in healthcare institutions.
Visitors to the event can look forward to an extensive programme featuring breakout sessions and internationally renowned keynote speakers Prof. Didier Pittet and Alexandra Peters (University of Geneva Hospitals, Switzerland), Martin Kiernan (Richard Wells Research Centre, United Kingdom), Edmée Bowles (Radboudumc, the Netherlands), Clare Nash (Black Country Alliance, United Kingdom) and Brett Mitchell (Avondale University, Australia). In the afternoon breakout sessions will highlight the use of Artificial Intelligence, digital platforms, automated room disinfection and what we can learn from each other.

- Track 2: Healthcare Cleaning Insights – Learnings from 1,000s of Healthcare Cleaners using a digital cleaning platform. Speaker: Bill Bassett (Group Director of the Interclean Group and iClean Technology).
- Track 3: Guided tour at Interclean. The Healthcare Cleaning Forum is co-located with Interclean; the world’s leading tradeshow for cleaning and hygiene professionals. The guided tour offers a themed overview of innovations in Healthcare Cleaning technologies. The tour is organised and guided by expert professionals from NVZ (Dutch association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products).
- Track 4: Lecture and round table with international IPC experts. Chair: Professor Didier Pittet. Panellists: International IPC experts including: Pierre Parneix (France), Brett Mitchell (Australia), Clare Nash (UK), Alexandra Peters (Switzerland). With Introductory lecture (10 minutes) by Professor Didier Pittet.
- Track 5: (scientific) insights and experiences on automated room disinfection. In cooperation with VHIG (the Dutch professional association for infection prevention). Chair: Martin Kiernan. In this track Mariette Lokate (UMCG), Els Rooijakkers (Groene Hart Hospital) and Edmée Bowles (RadboudUMC) share their insights on the use of automated room disinfection followed by Questions & Answers.
