ISS in the Netherlands to divest its non-core cleaning portfolio

Global facility services provider, ISS, has reached an agreement to divest its non-core single-service cleaning portfolio in the Netherlands to Dutch cleaning company CSU.

As one of the largest cleaning companies in the Netherlands, CSU is well-known and a respected market operator with experience in integrating activities from acquisitions, ensuring continuity for customers as well as employees. As an example, CSU successfully integrated a number of SME cleaning customers from ISS at the end of last year.

The divestment concerns approximately 70 Dutch customers and, pending approval from the Netherlands Authority of Consumer and Markets (ACM), will see the transfer of around 2,200 employees to CSU.

Kees Stroomer, Country Manager, ISS Netherlands, commented: “The divestment of this single-service cleaning customer portfolio is in line with our strategy of focusing on large national and international key account customers and on creating value through integrated facility management solutions to these customers.”

The transaction is expected to close November 2018.
