Norse cleans up with £550k in new business

Norse’s cleaning division has reported adding £550,000 of new business in the first two months of 2019.

The company has been awarded a three-year contract, worth £3000,000 with the British Antarctic Survey to clean its research, offices and training centre on the outskirts of Cambridge. The deal comes into force on 1 April 2019.

Norse Operations Director for Cleaning, Robert Trewick, said: “We are thrilled to be working with such a prestigious and world-leading research organisation as the British Antarctic Survey.

“Our commitment to the environment, such as using cleaning products that reduce storage, that are biodegradable and phosphate free, and our commitment to reduce our reliance on landfill and on plastics, clearly resonated with the institute’s team.”

Elsewhere Norse picked up three new clients in the educational sector, Forcett Primary, Wicklewood Primary and Stradbroke High School.

All the new school contracts are for three years and are jointly worth around £250,000 over the life of the agreements.

The contract wins are a continuation of Norse’s growth in building cleaning, which now stands at more than £6million this year.
