Spectrum cleans up at new V&A Dundee Museum

Spectrum has secured the cleaning services contract at the new V&A museum in Dundee, located on the River Tay.

A world-renowned name, the new 8000m² V&A museum, designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and associates, explores the global importance of design alongside showcasing Scotland’s exceptional design works.

Spectrum will provide a range of cleaning services for the museum, including daily cleaning in the office and associated areas, break out areas, canteen, showers and locker rooms, sanitary and washroom services, provision of consumables, window cleaning, provision of day-time janitorial services, as well as a quarterly deep clean.

Commenting on the contract award, Sara Speirs, Managing Director at Spectrum said: “We are delighted to have been selected as the cleaning services provider for the new V&A Dundee Museum. Our team are thrilled to be working in the ground-breaking and architecturally striking new building, which has pushed the boundaries of modern design itself. We look forward to helping to keep the museum clean, safe and comfortable for all visitors and staff to enjoy, whilst upholding the prestigious V&A brand.”

“The new contract win at V&A Dundee comes at a very exciting time for Spectrum as we have recently expanded our presence in the North of Scotland. Rapid growth and an increase in contracts in this area has led us to recently open two new offices, in Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Subsequently, we are looking forward to working with a range of new clients in the north whilst becoming even more accessible to our current clients.”
