Churchill has won a three-year cleaning contract with Millennium Point in Birmingham City Centre.
The agreement, which is worth £170,000 per annum, will cover general cleaning across the site, as well as window and washroom maintenance.
An iconic landmark in the heart of Eastside, Millennium Point is a unique venue destination in Birmingham City Centre. It is home to Thinktank, Birmingham’s science museum, and Birmingham City University. Owned by Millennium Point Charitable Trust, the building also holds a 350-seat auditorium, flexible workspaces, meeting rooms and offices. It was opened in 2001 to help promote STEM projects, organisations and initiatives across the West Midlands area.
Louisa Clarke, Churchill’s Operations Director for Midlands, North East and Scotland, commented: “This is a great win for the West Midlands team. We listened closely during the bid process to ensure that our service would exceed client expectations, and also demonstrated where we could offer something different. Millennium Point is a fantastic landmark building to add to Churchill’s growing regional portfolio. We look forward to working alongside its excellent in-house team.”
Ashley Hales, Facilities Manager at Millennium point, added: “We were impressed with Churchill’s cleaning technology, management structure and approach to contract delivery throughout the bid process. The Millennium Point team is excited to work alongside its new service partner to help deliver a clean and positive environment for all building users.”
