Axis Cleaning and Support Services, the nationwide supplier of commercial cleaning services, has been nominated in two categories for the Golden Service Awards, as well as being awarded four Gold and 12 Platinum Loo of the Year Awards.
The Golden Service Awards nominations are within the Manufacturing Facilities and Site Supervisor of the Year categories for the work it does for Wockhardt UK, one of the largest generic pharmaceutical companies, within its Wrexham-based manufacturing facility.
The Manufacturing Facilities category recognises high cleanliness standards, understanding of the site, teamwork and effectiveness of staff, good management skills and a demonstration of overcoming complex site-specific challenges. Since 2004, Axis has developed an in-depth knowledge of the site that produces sterile, injectable products to ensure rigorous cleaning and contamination standards are upheld, production processes and schedules are not impacted and numerous, internal and external audits are accommodated. The result has been that there has never been a cleanliness non-conformance on site.
The contract has involved managing a factory expansion, specific cleaning tasks such as glass sorting and crushing of phials and equipment, as well as introducing new cleaning chemicals and equipment to enhance standards and productivity.
Furthering the recognition for the Wockhardt UK contract, Axis’ Jeannette Roberts has been nominated for the Site Supervisor of the Year award. Her knowledge of the site, leadership and management skills, extensive training qualifications and willingness to go the extra mile for the client are the attributes that have set her apart.
Axis Cleaning and Support Services’ success at the 2019 Loo of the Year awards, which celebrate the very best washrooms in the UK, come from a range of Axis’ Shopping Centre clients, including Wulfrun, Hounds Hill, Chelmsley Wood, New Square and Mercury Mall Shopping Centres, as well as Sage Gateshead and Xscape Castleford leisure and entertainment venues.
The awards are judged on high-quality and consistent cleanliness and will be presented at a high-profile industry ceremony at St John’s Hotel, Solihull on 6th December 2019.
Simon Giles, Chief Operating Officer, at Axis Cleaning and Support Services says the nominations are the result of continued hard work and dedication: “To have so many of our sites recognised is testament to the excellent standards delivered by all employees from Axis management to supervisors and cleaning operatives. Special thanks goes to Jeannette for her nomination – since 2014, she has further enhanced the services we provide to a long standing client.”
