Churchill has won a two-year cleaning contract with the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA), the professional body responsible for the specialty throughout the UK, and the third largest Medical Royal College by UK membership.
The terms of the contract comprise of general and specialist cleaning services, as well as washroom and window cleaning across the college site, coincidentally named Churchill House after Sir Winston Churchill who laid the foundation stone for the building in 1956.
As a member of the London Universities Purchasing Consortium, the RCoA used the framework set out by the institution and released the contract to tender to five cleaning and facilities companies. Churchill was selected by the RCoA specifically for its commitment to sustainability, people training and development and its electronic auditing platform.
Natasha Marshall, Head of Facilities at the Royal College of Anaesthetists commented: “The RCoA was particularly keen to work with a company that has a demonstrated commitment to sustainability and environmental sensitivity. We are confident that the partnership with Churchill will help us achieve and even exceed our sustainability goals.”
Joe Saisi, Operations Director for Churchill London & South East added: “Churchill Cleaning is looking forward to working in partnership with the RCoA to support the cleaning efforts on this iconic site. We are delighted that our sustainability and environmental efforts shone through at tender level, and we are excited to implement these strategies throughout the duration of the contract.”
