This year has been a particularly demanding one for cleaners on the frontline, so Principle Cleaning Services used last month’s ‘Thank Your Cleaner’ day to celebrate their hard work and the vital role they play during these challenging times.
Given key worker status at the start of the lockdown and, travelling into Central London, Principle’s staff have worked tirelessly around the clock – continually changing shift patterns due to the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring that workplaces are kept clean and hygienic.
The company’s board and senior management team wanted employees to know how much they are valued by visiting in person and rewarding them with shopping vouchers.
Douglas Cooke, executive chairman of Principle Cleaning Services, said: “Our cleaning teams go above and beyond, performing day and night, to ensure our clients’ workplaces are safe and ‘Thank Your Cleaner’ day seemed the perfect opportunity to show our appreciation.
“It was wonderful to see just how happy our staff were, knowing that we and our clients appreciate their hard work. The day was a great success with almost a 1,000 staff visited on 97 sites and 800 photos taken.”
