Canal and River Trust appoints Dovetail as national cleaning contractor

Following a lengthy and rigorous tender process, Dovetail Group has announced its appointment as the national cleaning contractor for the Canal And River Trust as of 1 May 2022.

Dovetail Group is a hands on and passionate company based in the Midlands, operating nationwide and specialising in facilities management, environmental services and waste management. Having already worked on the Canal And River Trust cleaning contract as sub-contractors, Dovetail Group has been able to display its wealth of knowledge in commercial cleaning in addition to an impressively high and consistent standard of specialist cleaning. Alongside this existing partnership, Dovetail Group’s leadership team worked behind the scenes to construct a coherent and strong presentation to display its approach to the contract and how it intends to mobilise it, with its sustainable and innovative vision being the backbone of this proposal.

“Speaking on behalf of our cleaning team and the company, we couldn’t be more excited about this new venture” said Managing Director of Dovetail Group, Lee Butterworth. “It was incredibly beneficial that we were able to display our skills prior to the contract tender having worked on the cleaning contract previously in partnership with OCS. If it wasn’t for our team of dedicated cleaners ran by Jayne Charters, we wouldn’t have had such a strong existing foundation going into the proposal. Alongside myself, the leadership team worked long hours in the background to ensure we met the criteria and needs of the Canal And River Trust, building a versatile mobilisation plan that showed the lengths and measures we would be taking to exceed expectations while maintaining a sustainable and innovative approach. As managing director, I couldn’t be more proud of the company for achieving this award and I’m sure I’m speaking for all of us when I say how excited I am.”
