P&G Professional in partnership with the Bed & Breakfast Association

P&G Professional, the away-from home division of Procter and Gamble, has partnered with Bed & Breakfast Association, the leading UK trade association for B&Bs, Guest Houses, and small independent hotels.

The inaugural partnership marks the brand’s first step towards supporting small hospitality businesses at a crucial point in time for the British hospitality industry.

With smaller hotels and guest houses set to reopen this summer, P&G Professional recognises the work that must be undertaken for businesses to provide peace of mind for guests. Whilst cleanliness has always been a key consideration, now, more than ever, the conversation surrounding hygiene and infection control is of paramount concern.

Together, P&G Professional and the Bed & Breakfast Association will provide expert advice, materials and training for businesses as part of a UK-wide initiative to support B&B and guest house owners to re-establish their customer base.

Marking the start of the partnership, B&B Association members will soon be able to apply for P&G Professional’s CleanPLUS experience. Those who purchase a set of products from the brand for use in their guest house will be able to apply for the stamp of approval via P&G Professional’s UK website. Available as a window sticker or digital asset for website use, this stamp of approval from recognised, household name brands (Fairy, Flash and Ariel) is a mark of assurance for customers that an establishment has been cleaned to the highest standards ahead of their stay.

The partnership will culminate with a campaign during B&B Week 20201, to be announced in due course.

Speaking of the partnership, David Weston, Chairman of the Bed & Breakfast Association commented: “The Bed & Breakfast Association has a longstanding reputation for supporting the industry with guidance and expertise, and we are thrilled to be partnering with P&G Professional to communicate the importance of hygiene and cleanliness at this crucial point in time.”

Weston continued: “The CleanPLUS experience will be of huge value to our members, who will be looking to provide peace of mind for customers that the business adheres to only the highest standards.”

Greg Elmore, P&G Professional Country Leader said: “We understand that owners of small hospitality businesses rely on positive ratings to secure their bookings, and that many will have felt the impact of COVID-19 this year. We are delighted to be working with the Bed & Breakfast Association as a credible industry body to spotlight the steps the industry can take to prepare for customers, and with our CleanPLUS experience, set them up for success.”
