CSSA Innovation Showcase finalists revealed

The organisers behind The Cleaning Show have announced the finalists in this year’s Cleaning & Support Services Association (CSSA) Innovation Showcase. The Innovation Showcase celebrates the forward-thinking products, services, and initiatives that drive progress in the cleaning industry; in particular, it highlights solutions to social, political, and environmental requirements, as well as existing market issues.

There were over 20 entries to the showcase this year, with all companies invited to present to a judging panel made-up of senior UK industry figures at the ‘Innovator’s Pitch’. Applicants then faced a round of questioning and product testing before the finalists were chosen.

This year, seven finalists were selected for their groundbreaking ideas that enhance sustainability, efficiency and service quality. The finalists are:

CAM Specialist Support Ltd – who provide industry leading solutions in high-access cleaning and maintenance

Exact Comms Ltd – experts in communication technologies for better operational efficiency

Lime Supply Ltd – specialists in pioneering eco-friendly cleaning product distribution

Orion Eco Solutions – InvisiGard – providers of innovative, sustainable surface protection technology

PEGO – suppliers of cutting-edge robotics which transform cleaning automation

Chartered Practitioner Recognition (CPR) – elevators of professional standards through accreditation and recognition

YuLife – innovators of employee wellness programmes within the sector

The seven companies will be celebrated at an Awards Ceremony which takes place on 19th March at The Pelligon – a stunning building in Canary Wharf.

Commenting on the Showcase, CSSA Chief Executive Officer, John Findlater said: “It is at the heart of our determination to foster innovation in the industry. The Showcase celebrates Innovation in the widest sense, whether it is a new method, idea, approach or product. We judged the innovations in terms of their impact and in our experience even something small can have a very big impact.”

Paul Sweeney, Event Director of The Cleaning Show added: “Innovative cleaning processes are fundamentally altering the way business owners manage their companies and how employees conduct their day-to-day activities. From green cleaning and new equipment to social media marketing and automated management, staying ahead of the competition means being aware of cleaning trends at all times.

“This year’s finalists demonstrated that they are very much ahead of the game when it comes to innovation in these areas and I want to extend my personal congratulations to them all. The judges were overwhelmed by the quality of the entries and it was difficult to whittle down the finalists. We are very excited to find out more at the Awards Ceremony and see how their businesses develop in the future.”
