OCS has been awarded a new three-year contract with Shaftesbury Capital to deliver total facilities management services across the company’s West End portfolio.
Effective from earlier this year, the agreement builds on a 15-year partnership and extends OCS’s service delivery beyond Covent Garden to include Soho, Carnaby and Seven Dials, amongst other destinations. Shaftesbury Capital awarded the contract in recognition of OCS’s proven ability to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
OCS will provide cleaning and engineering services across all of Shaftesbury Capital’s destinations, expanding its self-delivery model that has provided a world-class and unique offering at Covent Garden by transferring 17 additional back-office and management colleagues into the portfolio. This move is accompanied by the insourcing of a rationalised supply chain that adds value to the customer’s guest experience.
OCS will also implement a range of value-added initiatives, including technology-driven innovations. The company will continue to invest in the local community, supporting targeted initiatives that align with Shaftesbury Capital’s values. Structured training programmes at apprenticeship levels 3, 5, and 7 will further promote employee development and wellbeing.
This renewal reinforces OCS’s position as a trusted provider of facilities management services across London’s most prominent retail and leisure destinations.
Claire Rumsey, Sector MD Destinations, OCS UK & Ireland, said: “We’re proud to celebrate this growth with a longstanding client – a testament to the exceptional work of our Covent Garden team, who consistently maintain this iconic London destination to the highest standards. We look forward to bringing the same level of quality and focus to new destinations across the portfolio.”
Shaftesbury Capital, said: “OCS has been a trusted partner for over 15 years, delivering high-quality services that enhance the experience of our portfolio. OCS has demonstrated its commitment to innovation, self-delivery and community investment aligning them to support us in managing our destinations across the West End. We look forward to continuous innovation and betterment through our strong relationship and seeing the positive impact this renewed and expanded partnership will bring.”
