Student laundry business cements partnerships with two North East universities

Newcastle’s student laundry operator Zube has kickstarted the new university term with two higher education partnerships as it opens with Newcastle University and Durham University.

Zube is a student laundry operator set to make cleaning clothes easier and simpler for students, as well as taking a piece of life admin off their to-do list allowing them to focus on what matters to them. With its new kiosk at Newcastle University and locker drop offs at Durham University, it’s never been easier for students to get clean clothes with zero hassle.

For Newcastle University students, clean clothes and a perfectly laundered wardrobe is available via the dedicated kiosk next to the Merch Shop on campus. For those at Durham University, Zube lockers mean students can book their cleaning and drop it off 24 hours a day.

The two higher education partnerships are the first two for Zube, which has rapid growth plans for the next 12 months and will see it expand its network across the UK targeting major cities including Manchester, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Leeds, London and Birmingham. They’ve also partnered with technology providers, student accommodation partners and software to deliver a seamless end to end service that can be easily rolled out across their North east base and future locations.

Focused on supporting students from their first year and settling into university life to helping alleviate the stresses of second and third year, Zube aims to lighten the mental load for students whilst delivering clean clothes and belongings that are freshly laundered with sustainable practices, no toxic chemicals and the least amount of impact on the planet.

Nav Dulai, CEO and founder of Zube, said: “Zube is here to disrupt the student laundry industry whilst also being a helping hand for freshers starting university, seasoned students handling second and third year and also to offer parents some peace of mind that their children aren’t stressing over laundry symbols and which detergent to use when they should be studying.

“We’re very proud to have already partnered with two higher education providers in the North East and to have had the support of Newcastle University and Durham University already as we ramp up our business growth.

“We’ve already received a warm welcome from students from both of these universities and with orders coming in, and we look forward to working with each and every customer who uses Zube.”
