It was a triple triumph for Sodexo employees at the 2023 NI Cleaning Awards in Belfast on Thursday 1st June 2023. Alex McDougall won Cleaning Operative of the Year in the ‘Offices over 100,000 sq.ft’ category, Sybil Ryan was Cleaning Operative of the Year for ‘Offices under 100,000 sq.ft’ and Jackie Murray took the top spot in the ‘Cleaning Operative – Education’ category.
The shortlisting of applicants and finalist site visits were carried out by the British Institute of Cleaning Science Training and Services division. It is the largest independent, professional and educational body within the cleaning industry in the UK.
Feedback from the judges during the adjudication process included the following comments, ‘Sybil had the cleanest safety floors that she had ever seen’, ‘Jackie was the most enthusiastic cleaner about her job, company and clients that they had met during the judging process’ while ‘Alex thrived and did an excellent job under the most challenging circumstances, she was very highly thought of by her peers and co-workers’.

Sodexo set up a Cleaning Family Forum virtual community and it hosts technical virtual webinars and highlights member achievements and awards throughout the year.
