Facilities services provider phs Group has acquired the floorcare and associated hygiene services division of workwear and industrial wiper rental services firm Lindström UK.
The acquisition will strengthen phs’ floorcare business which has been providing floor mats across all sectors for than 50 years.
phs’ range of floorcare products include anti-slip mats, ‘first defence’ entrance and lift mats to prevent dirt entering buildings and branded messaging mats. phs has also recently launched a new range of Covid-19 messaging mats to support organisations implement social distancing measures.
Lindström which has traditionally provided spill and absorbent mats for industrial and commercial organisations has been operating in the UK since 2001, with 150 employees at sites including Bedford, Manchester, and Bradford, and serves over 4,000 customers.

Peter Jones, Managing Director of Lindström UK, said: “The sale of our floorcare business will enable Lindström UK to focus on our market-leading industrial wiper and workwear rental services. This includes investing over £11 million to build a brand-new laundry in Bradford to create a truly sustainable solution for industrial wipers.”
