Following a recent retender process, Pinnacle Group has been awarded the contract for Hyde’s communal cleaning services. The service will go live on 1 November and will ensure the upkeep, safety and cleanliness of communal areas, ensuring they are visually appealing and enhancing the environment for Hyde’s customers. The service will also include the removal of bulk waste items to keep all areas safe and clear.
The contract follows the recent announcement that Pinnacle is now providing grounds maintenance services to Hyde homes. Hyde colleagues have already been meeting with Pinnacle’s teams to share vital insight and local knowledge.
Mark Batchelor, Hyde’s Director of Property Services said: “We’re committed to working with partners who can offer reliable and high-quality services to keep our communities looking their best. We know that working with Pinnacle will provide the best communal cleaning services for our estates.
“This new contract will mean more frequent inspections to ensure services are being delivered to the highest level. And, having just one provider will mean far more collaboration across our estates. However, we’ll still be directly employing a small number of cleaners and caretakers.
“Thank you to all our customers who took part in the consultation and helped to agree an improved specification – we couldn’t have done it without your feedback.”
Neil Fergus, Pinnacle’s Managing Director, Facilities Management said: “We’re delighted to have won this contract and can’t wait to get to know Hyde’s estates and customers. We know that Hyde’s colleagues and their local knowledge will be invaluable in helping us hit the ground running.”
Pinnacle is also committed to delivering social value initiatives – improving environments and working in line with Hyde’s biodiversity strategy. There will also be more community projects, including apprenticeships with a desire to support residents.
Pinnacle will be working alongside Hyde’s Estate Services team and Neighbourhood Officers to arrange drop-in sessions in the new year – which will give customers the opportunity to meet Pinnacle teams.
Pinnacle will be providing cleaning services to all Hyde neighbourhoods, other than Tower Hamlets Community Housing (THCH) homes, who employ their own cleaners. The Pinnacle contracts also don’t cover homes managed by managing agents or PFI homes.
The Hyde Group acquired Pinnacle as an operating subsidiary in October 2024. Pinnacle continues to operate under its own management as a separate subsidiary within the group. This means that Hyde required Pinnacle to compete in the tender process, which selected partners based on factors such as service quality, and value for money. As a result of the strong connection, Hyde hopes to provide a better, more joined up service with teams working together in its communities. As with all Hyde’s business areas, all profits that Pinnacle make are returned to the Hyde Group to be directly reinvested in Hyde’s social housing.
